Youth Fellowship Project
India’s youth population, with over 600 million under 25, holds immense potential for social and economic growth. However, challenges like unemployment, education gaps, mental health issues, and political disengagement limit this potential.
Humanite in India is committed to empowering youth by fostering personal growth, skill development, counselling, and community engagement.
The Youth Leadership Project empowers young people to become confident, compassionate, and capable leaders in their communities. Through mentorship, skills training, and real-world experiences, we help youth develop critical thinking, teamwork, and advocacy skills. Participants take part in community initiatives, build networks, and learn to lead with purpose—preparing them to drive positive change now and in the future.
Our program unites young people from diverse backgrounds to become active contributors to society through:
- Community learning centres: Free tutoring, homework help, and basic literacy classes.
- Scholarship awareness and career counselling: Guidance for higher education and job pathways.
- Life Skills education: Training in communication, decision-making, and problem-solving.
- Skill development workshops: Tailoring, carpentry, electrical repair, beauty services, etc.
- Mental health awareness: Peer counselling, stress management, and emotional well-being workshops.
- Reproductive and sexual health education: Safe practices, hygiene, and menstrual health support.
- Substance abuse prevention: Campaigns, support groups, and rehab referral services.
- Youth clubs and forums: Spaces for youth to lead local initiatives and express opinions.
- Leadership development: Training for public speaking, decision-making, and community mobilization.
- Youth advocacy campaigns: Promoting rights, equality, and environmental responsibility.
