How it works
At Humanite projects abroad, we organize meaningful volunteer projects and internships in developing countries. You choose your project, destination, and timing, and we handle the rest.

Getting Started:
- Research: Browse our wide range of projects and consult our experts to find the perfect fit.
- Opportunities: Volunteers and interns within India can complete the application form and connect with our office staff for the next steps. Points 3 to 9 are applicable only to volunteers and interns applying from outside India.
- Apply: Submit your application with a $295 deposit (applied to your total fee). Applying takes about 10 minutes, and we recommend applying at least 3 months before your trip.
- Confirmation: After reviewing your application, you’ll receive a welcome email and be assigned a Destination Expert to guide you.
- Pre-departure: Access your personalized online portal with all essential info, including packing lists, accommodation, and visa guidance.
- Payment: Pay the balance securely online, in installments if needed, or through fundraising support with our resources.
- Lift Off: Receive a final call before departure, then begin your life-changing adventure.
- Arrival & Induction: Our staff will welcome you at the airport, provide orientation, and introduce you to your placement.
- Experience: Immerse yourself, learn, grow, and make a lasting impact with ongoing support from our team.

Intercultural Exchange Abroad
Our intercultural exchange program offers participants the chance to live and engage in a different country, fostering mutual understanding and cultural learning. Whether through volunteering, internships, or cultural immersion, this program helps individuals develop global perspectives and lifelong skills.
Process
- Application: Choose your destination and program. Submit an online application with basic personal and travel information.
- Consultation: Our team will guide you through program details, match you with a suitable placement, and answer your questions.
- Confirmation: After acceptance, confirm your participation with a program fee deposit.
- Pre-Departure Support: Receive orientation, cultural tips, and travel guidance.
- Arrival & Induction: Local staff will welcome you, provide orientation, and introduce you to your host environment.
- Program Participation: Engage in cultural activities, community work, or internships as part of the exchange experience.
Terms & Conditions
- Participants must be 18 years or older (unless otherwise stated).
- A valid passport, visa (if applicable), and travel insurance are mandatory.
- Program fees must be paid in full before departure.
- Cancellations after visa issuance or program confirmation may not be eligible for a refund.
- Participants must follow the host country’s laws, cultural norms, and the program’s code of conduct.
- Any misconduct or violation of terms may result in early termination of the program without refund.
