She Leads Project

Despite constitutional guarantees, gender inequality in India persists due to deep-rooted social norms, economic disparity, and limited access to education and healthcare. The She Leads Project by Humanite addresses these challenges through a comprehensive, sustainable approach to women’s empowerment.
The program focuses on creating equal opportunities in education, employment, and leadership, ensuring women are not just included but are driving change. A key initiative is economic empowerment through training in business development, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy, enabling women to launch and sustain small businesses. This strengthens their financial independence and household influence.
She Leads also works with communities to challenge gender norms, engage men and local leaders, and promote inclusive development. In partnership with grassroots organizations and local governments, Humanite creates safe spaces for women to grow, lead, and uplift others.
The following programs are designed to promote gender equity, economic independence, leadership, and well-being for women in both rural and urban communities.
- Vocational training: Tailoring, handicrafts, beauty care, food processing, etc.
- Self-Help Groups (SHGs): Formation, training, and financial literacy
- Legal awareness workshops: Rights, entitlements, and access to legal aid
- Maternal and reproductive health: Prenatal care, menstrual health, and family planning
- Nutrition and hygiene awareness: Healthy cooking, sanitation, and wellness habits
